Caleb’s Experience

Caleb was born in raised in Humboldt (Gibson County), TN. He graduated from Humboldt High School and went to Tennessee Technological University before transferring to the University of Memphis.

Caleb began working for the City of Humboldt in 2011. In 2013 he was named interim Assistant Director of the Library Division. In 2015, he was recruited to work with TN Secretary of State Tre Hargett’s office in the Information Systems Division. While there, Caleb made more than 45 presentations across the state of Tennessee to public stakeholders, directors, administrators, and more. Caleb served on the statewide Broadband project from 2015-2017 while in the division, served as the Tennessee Representative on the Southeastern Library Association’s Continuing Education Division, and worked with state and federal legislators on several grants for 34 different municipalities and 17 different county governments.

Caleb began preaching part-time with the Northside church of Christ in Trenton in 2015. Prior to that, he regularly filled-in for various churches in West & Middle TN. At the end of 2017, the Rock church of Christ outside of Charlotte, TN offered to hire Caleb as a full-time minister and he moved to Dickson County. Caleb chose to step into a part-time role in 2019 and went back to work in addition to preaching. He remains a minister at Rock church of Christ today.

Caleb worked for Carole Inc. from late 2018 through early 2020. In 2020, Caleb became a licensed Enrolled Agent through the Internal Revenue Service and opened a practice called Dickson Tax. In early 2021, Dickson Tax merged with Professional Solutions to create Charlotte Tax. Caleb stepped down as managing partner in September 2025 in preparation for running for county mayor. His work at Charlotte Tax has included planning, budgeting, and managing a variety of regulations from multiple state entities and the federal government.

Caleb Wray, Community & Servant Leader

Caleb’s first volunteer work began in Humboldt Public Library, in shelving books at the age of 9. The librarians impressed an attitude of service and dedication upon him. Coupled with the examples given from multiple members of faith, Caleb has dedicated his life to community service and servant leadership. Organizations Include:
